mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} -->A disturbing notion as arisen in several large Christian organizations; the notion that children bullying other children is okay, as long as the children are bullying because of their own religious beliefs. An example of an instance where Christians think bullying is okay is when a child believes that homosexual is a punishable offence (aka, sin). (Christians of course condemn any bullying of Christian children, and would be the first to scream discrimination if a Christian child was oppressed because of her or his beliefs).

After pressure from Christian groups, Republicans in Michigan State GOPs passed “Matt’s Safe School Law” (named after 14-year-old 2002 bullycide victim Matt Eppling). This law was supposed to help victims of bullying, but in fact is going to actually make it worse. The law allows for bullying if the bully has a certain religious beliefs and believes he is ‘expressing’ his faith. (Most of the time expressing their beliefs by making other students feels horrible about themselves). This law basically allows a free pass for any bully; all they have to say is, ‘well, this is what I belief…’ Actually, the law even allows for teachers to bully students that don’t have the same religious beliefs as them.

What Christian groups have a pro-bullying stance you ask?

The Family Research Council, American Family Association, Mission America, Christian Youth America, just to name a few, have taken a pro-bullying stance. The Christian Youth American has gone as far as to encourage their members to bully gay children.

A quick internet search and you will find all the information you could ever want on Christian groups and bullying. (I have provided some links at the end of my blog…) Mission America’s website goes as far as to blame Matthew Shepard for his own death.

My real question is: Why do Christians think it is okay to bully?

I’m not going to go into why Christians believe that homosexuality is wrong, (hint, hint); the verse Christians always quote is right next to the verse that states wearing two different types of fabric at the same time is a sin. Meaning, “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.” Leviticus 18:22 is right next to Leviticus 19:19 “Keep my decrees. Do not mate different kinds of animals. (I’d like to point out that they have a petting zoo at the Creation Museum, which has zebroids (zebra/donkey), and zorses (zebra/horse), so apparently the Creation Museum is sinning). Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.” Will these Christians allow for their children to be bullied because other students hold the belief that wearing cotton and polyester at the same time is not okay?

But, Jesus said to love everyone, right?

Well… Yes… Jesus did say that you should love everyone.

Examples:

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”-1 Corinthians 13:13.

“The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” -Mark 12:31

“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law”. -Romans 13:8

“With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love…” -Ephesians 4:2

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God”. -1 John 4:7

“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” -John 15:12

I think I like the last quote the best, my command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Now, I know Christians can look at this and say, ‘Well, it just says love ‘each other’ it does not specify who to love. It can mean just love the ‘other’ people in our church, or just love the ‘other’ people that I like.’ But, I think that it is it’s the command’s broadness that makes it include everyone.

And, remember, Jesus said love your enemies. (Matthew 5:43-48 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.)

Now I’m not saying that homosexuals, or Muslims, or women, are an enemy of the Christian church. In fact, I personally think the Christian church makes up their own enemies; so they have someone which whom they can fight. (Christians love to make themselves the victims.) What I am saying, is that when the Christian church chooses to say that children bullying other children to death is okay, because that’s what their bible says is okay, is not only morally wrong, it is this is literally wrong. Not only are they misinterpreting their own sacred text, but they are blatantly disregarding what the bible actually tells them to do.

Christians are doing the opposite of what their own religion tells them to do. When Christians tell/allow their children to hate other children: to harass, threaten, terrorize and beat other children down to the point that these tormented children think they have no other choice but to take their own lives, these Christians are doing the opposite of what their own bible tells them to do.

What is worse that these groups actually have the balls to fight for these rights, the right to bully, the right to the opposite of what their bible tells them to do. Have they not read their own religious text? Or are Christians deliberately ignoring what their own bible tells them to do?

"I am not sorry, and refuse to apologize, just because I have an opinion, and am willing to voice..."

“I am not sorry, and refuse to apologize, just because I have an opinion, and am willing to voice that opinion.”

- Me

Black out in Protest of SOPA - PIPA

Black out in Protest of SOPA - PIPA :
This site has gone dark today in protest of the U.S. Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and PROTECT-IP Act (PIPA). Their religion causes them to lose/forget the ability to think logically. If they could think logically they would be able to see all the anomalies in their own faith. But, because all the illogicalness they have to believe in, just to keep their own faith, they are more willing to believe lies/untruths, and even when an argument is presented to them without flaws, they will not/cannot “believe” it. Like with their Christian beliefs and their beliefs in global warming and evolution, their minds have already been made up, and even if you could physically show them global warming and evolution, they’d still refuse to believe in it. No matter how hard you try, you cannot use logic on the illogical.

Random Conversation

Here is the transcript of a random conversation, I had with a random man, on the internet. I had never talked to this man before, and he started the conversation.

Random man: Your going to hell. (Yes, he used your not you’re).

Me: Really? Can I we stop at Mt. Olympus first?

Random man: (frantically searching Mt. Olympus) No! Your actually going to hell. (Again, with the your, is he is implying that hell belongs to me?)

Me: Really? So we can go to mythical places now?

Random man: STOP ATTACKING MY BELIEFS! (Yes, he used all caps).

Me: Really?

Mt.
God made us in his image. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Gen 1:27).

But, we’re all flawed, and we’re all considered sinful. For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; (Rom 3:23) Behold, I was shapen in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Psalm 51:5) Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. (Isaiah 43:27)

So… If we are made in God’s image, made to be and look like Him, doesn’t that mean by reflection that God is flawed and sinful?

Or, did God just really suck at making humans? (Of course, if he did a bad job making us, that means he is somehow flawed…)

Conflicting Beliefs

I don’t understand why Pro-Lifers consider a few, clumped together, cells, a life, but at the same time can be Pro-Death Penalty. Pro-Death Penalty meaning they are — pro-murder of adults; sometimes even pro-murder of mentally changed adults. Aren’t these two beliefs contradictory?

Pro-Lifers believe they can and should control the cluster of cells growing in my uterus, and believe that clump of cells deserves to be protected at all cost. But, a fully grown adult, an even bigger mass of cells, does not deserve to be protected, and can be murdered at their discretion?

Does no one else see a problem with this logic?

Also! Pro-Lifers tend to be anti-vegetarianism/anti-vegan. They all love eating animals that can feel pain, suffer, and can be as intelligent as dogs. And, they will get angry with you if you tell them you don’t believing in eating meat. A lot of them will even look down at you, believing there is something wrong with you because you don’t believing in causing animal suffering.

Again, does no one else see a problem with this logic?

So, to reiterate, Pro-Lifers believe a couple of cells deserve all the protection available to them under law, but at the same time believe in murdering grown adults, and eating giant clumps of animal cells?

Someone should point out to them how conflicting these beliefs are.

"—as if a blind hunter fired hundreds of times in vain and finally, by sheer accident, hit a..."

“—as if a blind hunter fired hundreds of times in vain and finally, by sheer accident, hit a bird.
That quote got me thinking. God is perfect. God is infinite. If that is true, then how for fuck’s sake did he make such a fucked up world? I mean, really, a drunk demi-god could have done a better job. Why didn’t he just put the that stupid tree somewhere else? Unless of course he wanted us to fuck up. Or better yet, why didn’t he do a better job making Adam? I don’t know, I just don’t buy the whole bible story. God had to be black and white, he has to be good and evil. That is the only explication on how there is evil in our world, if God made everything… God is good, but God is also evil. I think the quote from Isa 49:7 sums it up, “I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create evil; I the Lord do all these things.” So God is basically telling his followers that he isn’t perfect, he’s also equally evil.

But that isn’t what we’re taught in Sunday school. We’re taught that God is good. God loves everyone equally. It’s a lie. If God loved everyone equally he wouldn’t send over half of his creations to hell just because they fell for his trap. A trap is really what it is. It is like the game Simon-Says, you’re told to follow what I say, not what I do. The rules are easy enough, I played it in pre-school. But it is more easier said than done. The game is a trap, meant to make you do the wrong motions. God is basically playing this evil game of Simon-Says with us, but in the end the loser doesn’t just get laughed at, they get an eternity of hell.

Aristotle

“We should not listen to those who tell us that … mortals should think like mortals, but we should achieve immortality as we may, and strain every nerve to live by the highest things in us … Man finds the life of Reason best, since in it he finds his true nature.” – Aristotle

Photo

Nietzsche

“I condemn Christianity, and confront it with the most terrible accusation that an accuser has ever had in his mouth. To my mind it is the greatest of all conceivable corruptions… it converted every value into its opposite, every truth into a lie and every honest impulse into an ignominy of the soul… I call Christianity the one great curse, the one enormous and innermost perversion, the one great instinct of revenge, for which no means are too venomous, too underhand, too underground and too petty – I call it the one immortal blemish of mankind.” – Friedrich Nietzsche
